In our living room we have two sofas and the armchair you can see in the video. The armchair has become Joey`s chair! It is his favourite place to sit and play these days. He also like climbing over onto the yellow sofa. In the video you can see Daisuke with one of those funny strips on his nose.. we were having a facial night because it has been SO humiod lately my skin is in a real mess!

Very sleepy curl-free Joey! The good news is that after he got hot and sweaty later in the day, the curls came back, they were just shorter! Will try and take a picture of that later!

I decided to take Joey to the hair salon run by an old student of mine but I wanted to cut a few bits of his hair to keep as a momento.. this is the moment my son got his first haircut!!

I was planning to wait until we went home to have J`s hair cut but because it is just so hot and humid in Japan at the moment, I decided it was a good idea to do it sooner. This is one of the pre-haircut shots..

Joey`s favourite things to play with are cleaning implements. He loves my mop and this carpet cleaner roller thing. His favourite way to pass time is with the hoover though! He doesn`t even have to turn it on, just playing with it is enough to keep him quiet for up to an hour! LOL! This is him "cleaning" on our balcony!!

We don`t have a garden but the other day after it had been raining all day, Joey had serious cabin fever so I let him play around on the balcony.

Joey has so many toys now that it is a good job that we moved to a bigger place as there wouldn`t have been enough room for everything on our old apartment!!! This is a no-mess fingerpainting toy that a friend sent for him and he loves it!

Even though he just turned 13 months, I took Joey for his one year check-up last friday. The results were as follows:

Height: 79cms (31.1 inches)
Weight: 12.1 kgs (26.6lbs)

He has actually lost weight as he was about 12.5 kgs at one point but I guess with all his activity and his loss of appetite when he was sick, he dropped a few grammes. He is apparently perfectly healthy. I didn`t get any jabs for him this time around as I still can`t decide what to do about the new combined MR vaccine that Japan is offering. I would have preferred the vaccines to be separate.
